Holiday Round Up
(Soaps In Depth - December 23, 2003)
Party On
"Christmas is a really important holiday for my family," shares AMC's Elizabeth Hendrickson. "It's a time where I really get to see everyone." Like many of us, the actress says that between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, she's usually running around like Kris Kringle himself, visiting everyone in her family. Yet despite the chaos, she looks forward to the holiday season, particularly the annual Christmas party that her mother and stepfather throw every year at their Long Island, NY home. "They invite all of their friends and co-workers, and sometimes I'll bring my friends out, too," she elaborates, adding that she's especially glad to be able to spread a little Yuletide cheer to pals whose nearest and dearest are scattered far and wide. "When they can't go home to their families, I bring them home to mine. It's really nice because everyone comes together." Although Hendrickson thinks that every holiday hootenanny is special, she concedes that the 2002 bash was, quite likely, the best ever. "My uncle just had a baby girl so we had a new addition," she shares. "It's always nice when there's a newborn. That was the most special thing about Christmas last year: welcoming baby Julia into the family." Here's hoping that by the New Year the actress has made a whole lot more beautiful memories.
