"BAM" Power on AMC
(Soap Opera Digest - February 15, 2005)

With AMC's Bianca and Maggie set to leave Pine Valley in just a few weeks (they last air on February 24), "BAM" fans can look forward to plenty of action.

"This is the week that Maggie regains her strength," previews Elizabeth Hendrickson. "She totally breaks it off with Jonathan, in the best and healthiest way possible." How does Maggie find the courage to sever ties to her abusive beau? "Bianca has realized that she can't be the one to get through to Maggie because Maggie thinks Bianca is just jealous that Maggie has moved on with Jonathan," explains Eden Riegel. "So it falls to Aidan and Anita to open her eyes to how dangerous Jonathan is."

To that end, Aidan and Anita bring Jonathan's ex, Larraine, to see Maggie. "Jonathan had hit Larraine, too, but Maggie doesn't want to hear it," Hendrickson sighs. "But then Larraine says something that makes Maggie realize, 'Oh, my God, I've got to get out of this.' And when Jonathan comes home, right then and there she's like, 'It's over'."

While the breakup empowers Maggie, it imperils Bianca, whom Jonathan blames for Maggie's "betrayal". "Bianca might find herself in real danger," Riegel says. But, hints Hendrickson, "Bianca and Maggie make a pretty amazing team. Never underestimate the power of BAM!"
