Welcome Back... (Soap Opera Weekly - January 23, 2007) How long are you back? Three weeks. I am having such a good time. How did your return come about? I've remained in contact with the show and still have friends here. Then Eden was coming back and she said, "If I go back, would you want to?" I was like, "That would be so fun. Let's try to give the fans what they have always asked for." [The BAM fans] are so supportive. They have even been supporting me outside of All My Children, so it's wonderful. What have you been up to since you left AMC? It was a hard first year. It started off slow, and then in the past year, finally, things are coming around. I've done a few guest-star roles. I just did CSI, and before that I did Criminal Minds, Medium, and Cold Case. I have two national commercials running, too. It's going really well. But I'm happy to be home. I'm from New York, so I'm getting to see everyone. You moved to the West Coast after you left AMC two years ago. Do you like living there? I love it. I've made that my new home. I love the weather. My dog loves it there, and I have great friends out there now. My ultimate goal is to be bicoastal. You're good friends with Jonathan Bennett (ex-JR), right? Yes, he's a great friend of mine. We watch each other's animals when we leave town. Our dogs play with each other all the time. Also, I'm still really good friends with Sam Page (ex-Trey). He's doing great with his new show [Shark]. I actually saw the two of them this past weekend. Was your first day of taping your first time back at the AMC studio? No. I came by about two weeks before. I was in [town] for an audition and I had a couple of hours to kill so I came in to say, "Hi." I wanted to get that all out of the way before I came back. I've been sort of nervous about the whole thing in general. I just did my first two scenes at Greenlee's penthouse, which is so great. When I walked into the scene I had this smile like, "Awww. Greenlee's penthouse! I had many memories here." It's so funny. Everything has changed, but nothing's changed. How did you learn Maggie had cheated on Bianca? From watching the show! I was screaming and yelling at the TV (laughs). I was very upset. It was a huge shock to me. Were you surprised Maggie cheated with another girl instead of a guy? I was actually relieved to hear I was making out with a woman: "Yay, finally!" I always felt Maggie was leaning more toward the women than the men. I was happy that the writers had finally made a decision as to [Maggie's sexuality]. Before she got together with Binks, Maggie was in an abusive relationship with Jonathan. Do you have any scenes with Jeff Branson (Jonathan) during your return engagement? We have a brief scene. Maggie and Jonathan run into each other at the boathouse. He apologizes, but Maggie is still scared of him and not okay with him being around her. Then Bianca shoos him off, and she's fine. If I was here longer I wish we could wrap all of that up. I'd love that.
