On The Fly
(Soap Opera Weekly - July 20, 2004)

Elizabeth Hendrickson invites a WEEKLY reporter into her dressing room to show off all the stuff the BAM fans have sent her, (The latest? A box of stuffed animals) and why we should all be prepared to see a BAM blimp in the sky.

Are you still overwhelmed by the response from BAM fans?

I won't work for several days and then I'll come back and my room is filled with boxes. It's hysterical!

Are you glad they're exploring the Bianca/Maggie story this summer?

Of course. I'm very interested to see what follows this. We've all been waiting for so long for it to happen tha tI hope it's what everyone was hoping for. I hope it's not too late.

BAM fans have been rooting for this for a long time.

Time will tell. I have nothing but positive feelings about the whole thing, so it's just a matter of seeing what comes next. She's professed her love to Bianca. Now she's involved with protecting and defending Jamie. I don't know what their plans are.

What's the most creative thing you've received from the fans?

The BAM fans continuously outdo themselves. My favorite thing has been my Absolut BAM [poster], like Absolut Vodka. They were raising money to have a BAM blimp. I highly doubt it will [happen], but it would not surprise me if it did.

Do you ever suggest they give money to charity in the name of BAM?

Yes. Rather than overloading me with presents [for my birthday on July 3] I asked them to donate money to animal shelters: North Shore Animal League and a small shelter in my town called The Little Shelter. I'm a sucker for animals.
